❄🔥More than just hot or cold🔥❄

When you order saké at a restaurant, are you just asking for hot or cold? Time to upgrade your saké knowledge. There's a whole world of complex flavors in saké that goes far beyond temperature. The basic styles are Futsushu, Gingo and Dai Gingo. There are more but we are gonna stick with the basics today. The main distinction is how finely the rice is milled, The finer the milling, the sweeter and more delicate the flavor. For example, the Dai Gingo is the most delicate and refined milling ratio and has the most delicate flavor. (Dai means "great") Dai Gingo or Gingo saké is perfect for high quality sushi or sashimi.
Futsushu has the least milling ratio that gives the saké a robust or bold flavor like whole grain brown rice. This would go nicely with meat, grilled proteins or curries.

Fun fact, one of my in-laws used to call me "Dai Gingo" because he knew I liked fancy flavors. Should I be insulted? I'll think about it over a bottle of finely milled saké.
