Are new noodles called Newdles?

Thank you for indulging my dad's joke moment. Are we still friends? But seriously, we have two new dishes dropping this week.  Say hello to our chicken meatballs and a vegan noodle dish to tantalize your palate.

Chicken meatballs in Japanese is called Tsukune, and it’s commonly found at yakitori restaurants (chicken on sticks).  Ours has chicken thigh meat, mixed with tofu and lotus root, to make a very complex and satisfying texture. We are serving it as an appetizer, which comes with a brightly acidic miso vinaigrette dipping sauce and makes a great accompaniment to all dishes on our menu. You can also enjoy it over our house made udon noodles with the umami rich kake broth.

Drumroll please…  we present to you our 100% vegan, Miso Avo Cream Udon. Mix the house made avocado and tofu cream into the simple and delicate miso broth to get a rich flavor explosion. We top it with grilled broccolini and house pickled red cabbage. As a non vegan, I am super excited to share this dish with you because of its balance of flavor as well as a creamy richness that is often lacking in vegan dishes. It’s for everyone, hooray!!

The weather is really crazy this week, am I right? Well, we’ve got you covered on hot noodles on those fiercely cold nights, as well as freshly made flavor popping sushi on those breezy spring-like days. Hope you enjoy, and see you around the neighborhood.
